Saxophone Lessons | Saxophone Clinician | Jazz Band Workshops

Thinking about taking one-on-one SAXOPHONE LESSONS, or know someone who is interested in that? In the 15 or so years that I’ve been teaching I’ve taught a range of students from 8 years old to 80 years old! It’s never too late to learn how to play an instrument. Whether you are switching from flute or clarinet, have never played an instrument before or are getting ready to audition for a university music program, I can help. I’ve had many students successfully audition for University Music Programs.
Teaching Locations:
- Home Studio in the Garden City area of Winnipeg
- Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts (U of W campus downtown)
- Winnipeg Conservatory of Music (near Polo Park on Portage Ave)

I’ve had many years experience working with different schools in Winnipeg and throughout Manitoba as a SAXOPHONE CLINICIAN. Hire me for your next concert band or jazz band workshop! Through my experience as a faculty member at International Music Camp Jazz Week since 2022, I’ve had experience running jazz bands and jazz small groups and teaching ear training and music theory classes.

What Students are saying…
“Monica is a gifted teacher, who can tune in quickly to her students wishes and abilities. She is flexible and patient.” -Ira Marcus
“During my time with Monica, I learnt more about jazz than I had ever before. With effective practice plans, kindness and support, not only did my playing improve, but also my overall confidence. She played a key role in my success when auditioning for the faculty of jazz.” – Ava Persaud-Soares
